Four Interesting RV camps to visit in 2017
To make a decision about where to stay with your RV during exploring the US easier, we’ve looked up few interesting RV camps for you. Here we go:
Ventura Ranch KOA — Santa Paula, CA
If you love the hills, fresh air and want to escape from reality for a while, this one’s for you. With its location (near Los Angeles) and amazing reviews it ranks among the best camps in California — it offers everything the good RV camp should offer — a lot of space, amenities like Wi-Fi or pool. You will also enjoy authentic Indian-styled accommodation and wildlife spirit of the area. Learn more here.
South Beach Campground — Forks, WA
If your teen daughter doesn’t want to come with you on trips anymore, this one will probably change her mind. Remember Twilight? Yeah, these are the areas where Stephenie Meyer set the story about Bella and Edward in her famous vampire saga. Being here will show you how it feels to live in Washington State — forests, rain, beautiful nature and the ocean. This place offers amazing views, ocean and the beaches will be just in front of you. Also, remember this camp is located in the Olympic National Park. Learn more here.
Camp Gulf — Miramar Beach, FL
Beaches? RVs? Florida! That’s right; this stunning RV camp offers a place for your RV right on the beach! Check it out here If you don’t want to be right on the beach, you can choose upper park sites. If you can’t decide, this virtual tour will definitely help you. There’s also a possibility to rent all the fun stuff people enjoy on vacations — Segways, yolo boards, pedal karts and more. A small disadvantage of this camp is the fact that if you want to also visit Miami, you will have to take a ride across the whole state. However, thinking about it, ride across Florida doesn’t sound that bad 🙂
Lake George RV Park — Lake George, NY
This family owned, award winning camp offers the feel of classical RV park. It’s a pretty large resort with a lot of things to do, especially for families with kids (same as the above-mentioned Ventura Ranch) who will have plenty of places to play or ride a bike — you can check it all here. Amenities like free Wi-Fi are a sure thing. But if you would like to have some fun outside the camp, then check out their recommendations for nearby attractions.
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Parks — all across the US
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone resorts are located mainly in the Midwest and east of the US, but you’ll also find few on the west. They provide great fun and services mainly for families with small kids — but also vary one from another, so you’ll certainly find the right fit for you — you can start on their website. Also, keep in mind they are a franchise, so each park has a different owner which means different standards.
And don’t forget to take care of your mail which you are on trip. For example by using of Mail Forwarding Service. 🙂
Happy RV’ing!
